Sort and the Pallars Sobirà offer a good variety of shooting locations, thanks to the spectacular contrasts of its valley’s landscape and its more than 100 villages.

The Pallars Sobirà stands out as the region with more natural areas in Catalonia: Aigüestortes and St. Maurice lake National Park, High Pyrenees Natural Park, States Pica, Certescan Lake, Noguera Pallaresa River...Also known for its streams, lakes, canyons, trails, dams, bridges, romanesque churches, hermitages, ski resorts, cultural centers, places of war memory...

Sort village has an area of ​​105 km2 and a slope of over 2000 meters, between the town of Sort (695m.) and the peak of Monsent de Pallars (2.883m.), where are located 15 villages and “the Àssua Valley and El Batlliu, a landscape of novels”, inspiration of some catalan literary works as “Les veus del Pamano” and “Pedra de tartera” (Stone in a landslide) and shooting scenarios of the TV movies "Les veus del Pamano” and " Gran Nord ", among others.

Sort has a film office from 2008 to provide the necessary services, material and human resources for a good development of production in all its phases.
